PSPJunk for CFWE Beta 2

Wohooo new update to PSPJunk for CFWE Beta 1.0 with more features and bug fixes.

New features:
  1. Added confirmation to PowerOff and ColdReboot shortcuts.
  2. Add show configuration screen, this will allow you to view our configuration in case you forget your button combos
  3. Add video folder redirection. To make use of this, create a folder in ms0:/MYVIDEOS and place "For my eyes only" videos here. Useful if you don't want your videos to be shown in the XMB by default. Then add START|ADOWN=VR config setting to pspjunk.conf to toggle between the default VIDEO and MYVIDEOS folder
  4. While in game, you have the option to mute a single channel or mute all channels. Now you can listen to your music yet still hear the game sound effects. Pressing the default key combo LTRIGGER|NOTE will cycle through all 9 channels plus mute all and unmute all. This however depends on the game, some games like Patapon does not support multiple channels, so you only get to mute/unmute all game sound.
 Changed:
  •  Changed the picture redirection. Unlike in Beta 1 where you can configure the name of the picture folder in pspjunk.conf, Beta 2 removed this configuration instead, just create a folder named ms0:/MYPICTURES and this is where the XMB will look for your pictures
  •
  • Some numerous bug fixes and memory optimization
 Known Issues:
  • Sometimes while playing/pausing the background music, your system may appear to freeze, try to play/pause the background music again and see if it will unfreeze the system. I will fix this in the next release when I feel like it :P
Note that button combos are changeable to your liking and there is more information contained in pspjunk.conf so please read it. Again I repeat, we haven't tested this on any other firmware version or system other than a PSP 2000 TA088v3 with CFWE 3.60 because poor! So YMMV on other systems.

Installation:
  1. As usual, copy the contents of the zip file to ms0:/seplugins, pspjunk_exception.prx is optional, copy it if you want to help junkfactory debug some crashes as it will generate ms0:/pspjunk_exception.log if the plugin encounters any problems. It may also prevent your system from crashing if the plugin has an error.
  2. If you already have vsh.txt and game.txt, don't overwrite your copy but copy the contents of the .txt files into your vsh.txt and game.txt
  3. Play a game/homebrew/reboot to activate the plugin

PSPJunk for CFWE Beta 1.0

I have been using it for a couple of months now thought I would share this.

A friend of mine (junkfactory) created this and didn't want to release it. According to him, this is just another plugin with most features already existing. He didn't even know what to call this plugin. So i dubbed it "PSPJunk". I do not take any credit of any kind for this plugin.

Features:
  1. Plays background music in vsh and game mode with volume boost (boosts only background music) only mp3 files are supported
  2. Shortcuts to poweroff, sleep or cold reboot
  3. Adjust CPU/BUS speed
  4. Display different memory usage FREE/TOTAL of the different memory partitions. This is mainly for debugging
  5. Fine adjustment of the display brightness, virtually gives you 20 brightness levels by pressing the "screen" button repeatedly. You can fallback to the default behavior by holding "LTRIGGER" while pressing the "screen" button.
  6. Prevent accidental suspend when switching back from "hold" mode
  7. Power save mode. While on the XMB, switching to "hold" will turn off the display and LEDs, underclock to 50/25. However, if you are playing a music in the music player or watching a video, hold works normally (only blocks button presses). While in game/homebrew, it will do what it does while in XMB plus pauses your game automatically.
  8. Redirect the picture folder to another folder. I find this useful in my case, because my TA088v3 with ChickHEN requires specific pictures to be in the PICTURE folder. If anything is added, it becomes really hard to bring up ChickHEN again.
  9. Control when RemoteJoyLite starts and stops. Only supported in game mode
  10. Take screenshots (BMP)
  11. Low Battery monitor. Plays an mp3 if battery is running low.
  12. Allows you to run homebrew or game (iso/cso) by pressing button combinations (shortcuts). Also works in game mode. You can jump from one homebrew/game without going through the XMB. Works even when folder lock is enabled.
  13. Folder Lock. Allows you to hide folders from the XMB or homebrew/games. Can be toggled on/off. More info on pspjunk.conf file.
  14. Give homebrews that weren't built with PSP_LARGE_MEMORY the extra slim memory. You can force a homebrew to run with its original memory by holding the "LTRIGGER" while starting. (very experimental)
Limitations
  1. This plugin is not compatible with emulators thus it disables itself automatically in snes and gpsp as of beta1.
  2. Does not support pops mode

Most of these features are configurable so please read pspjunk.conf for more details. This was ONLY tested on a PSP 2000 Ta088v3 with CFWE 3.60 system

Installation
  1. Download package here
  2. Copy contents of the zip file to ms0:/seplugins
  3. Configure pspjunk.conf to your liking
  4. Open your vsh.txt and game.txt and put ms0:/seplugins/pspjunk.prx 1
  5. Save and close then reboot or launch a game for plugin to take effect

Homebrew Shortcuts Plugin Beta 1 for 5.00-m33

What the hell is it?

It's a CFW plugin for m33 that let's you assign key combinations to launch your favorite homebrews from the XMB.

What does it do?

By configuring shortcuts.conf, you can assign virtually all (well depends on how many combinations you can make and your fingers can handle) your homebrew apps, ISO/CSO game or the UMD game or even pops games (not tested) to any combination of buttons you choose. Then from the XMB, you push those combinations and hopefully the assigned homebrew/game starts.

Installation?

1. Download the package
2. Extract them to your ms0:/seplugins folder
3. Read the notes in shortcuts.conf file (this is very important otherwise you will not get it to work if not configured correctly) and configure/assign keys to your apps/games.
4. Put this like in your vsh.txt ms0:/seplugins/homebrew_shortcuts.prx 1
5. Push the buttons and watch your homebrew run

Note: This is a beta so it will have bugs.

Thank you to the pspsdk creators who opened up the PSP to some lowly nut like me.
Special thanks to Dark_Alex for M33 modules

MusicPRX Mod for PSP CFWE update 1

MusicPRX is a custom firmware plugin to play music while browsing on XMB or playing a game in your playstation portable (PSP) device.

PSPs 2000 with TA088v3 have limited homebrew capability, in that they depend on a homebrew enabler ChickHEN created by Davee. This particular homebrew enabler is memory resident, meaning whenever you fully turn off you PSP or total drain your battery, your system will go back to the official sony firmware thus leaving you to do the "ChickHEN Dance (load the chickHEN with luck)".

This modded version of music prx adds a battery monitor to help PSP 2000 TA088v3 owners. I don't have a PSP 3000 or any other firmware versions, so YMMV on these systems.

New configuration options in music_conf.txt:

* ALARM_PERCENTAGE = 20 #battery percentage to trigger the low battery alarm sound
* ALARM_SOUND = ms0:/seplugins/lowbat.mp3 #can customize your alarm sound
* STANDBY_PERCENTAGE = 10 #battery percentage to put the system in standby mode. Set to 10 to put the PSP in standby mode when the battery has 10% power left. Set to zero to disable system standby mode.

Installation:

Copy contents of bin folder (bin/*) to ms0:/seplugins/. If you already have the vsh.txt and game.txt, do not overwrite them. Instead copy and paste "ms0:/seplugins/music_mod.prx 1" to your own vsh and game config files.

Changelog:

MusicPRX Mod for CFWE update 1
  • fixed in game mute, now you can mute the game sounds and listen to your favorite music. only tested on a PSP 2000 TA088v3 with CFWE 3.60. May not work on all games. I'd love to hear from 3k owners if this fix worked. Post a comment in here, I'd like to keep all reports in one place.
